February 13th, The KOH Race Report

KOH 2013 was epic.

The team spent two weeks on the lake bed in preparation for the big race. They had run the course twice before most teams even got to the lakebed. Dedication!
The day of LCQ came and we broke the front atlas yoke in half on the last hill. This also took out the brakeline. 30 ft and they would have made it. Rumors still report team MMS was the fastest car to that point.

With the help of Brendan Johnson of Paul Jr Designs (The gas tank guy) we were able to make the big race. Leaving 122 of 128 cars was a chore but the team managed to pass over 100 cars before breaking another unbreakable part. The bung ripped out of the rear lower suspension link on the 2nd lap. There is always next year.

Overall it was a great trip and we would do it again in a second.
