December 24th, Race Prep begins & The 650hp 415 Stoker is here! - Click Image to Close

In Reno, NV the winter months are very cold and wet. Without being able to do a lot of testing we have used this time to compose multiple list for race preparation, spare parts, and new upgrades to be done by KOH 2013. We are prepared!

The initial testing we did do showed us the Bomber B2 buggy was very impressive to say the least. For a 4wd buggy running 40" tires and a solid front axle, it was only 5-15 mph off the pace of what the MMS Trophylite truck would do through are local testing grounds.

With a little love and tuning we are confident this will be a very competitive car in 2013.

This page will be used as an update showing the new changes being done. Overall we are going to strip the car down to nothing and rebuild it bolt by bolt so the entire team knows what tools are needed and where things are located in a hurry.

Here are some of the items we are addressing. Maybe we should get facebook, huh?

A. 650hp, 415 LSX engine. Custom tuned by Force Fed Performance.
B. Maximum Offroad Transmissions, SUPER 4L60E racing transmission with Billet converter and 300M chromoly shafts. This bad boy has all the best parts.
C. RCV Performance 300M chromoly front and rear axle shafts and lockouts.
D. Rear ARB locker removed and a custom built Toyota Tundra 10.5" Spool Made.
E. New lower chassis bracing and HD 3/4" Thick Delrin Skid plate.
F. Steering Ram skid plate.
G. Complete Shock rebuild and tuning with King Racing.
H. Ruff Stuff HD 1.5" sway bar kit with custom arms.
I. Chassis painting
J. Custom rack for holdings spare parts, fluids and tools.
K. Integration of a FOA race Jack and cool MMS jack mount.
L. Dual oddesey batteries
M. Replace the hid lights with 2 LED light bars from black knight lighting.

The MJ Motorsports 415 stroker engine arrived has arrived. 650hp off OHH YAHHHHH!

Here it is stripped and ready for updates. We started with new Raceline monster wheels and BFG krt tires before we even tested the car.

We didnt want to leave the ram out in the open so we fabricated a new ram guard.
We also added a 10" led bar to the front.

We are going to be adding an additional oddesey battery. there is not much room to add a second so we are mounting it under the front of the passengers seat. The dual switch will be located in the center console. We also had to fabricate a sealed box for tech rules.

During our tear down and inspection we found a few small chassis issues that needed to be addressed. the front upper link mounts were tearing the welds and tube, so we added some supports.

We also did not feel confident about the front oil pan skid plate. Randy had busted 2 of the aluminum oil pans in the past. Bernie and I decided to fix a coolant leak and bend the front skid plate area down a 1/2" more for clearance.

The back up Toyota Tundra 10.5" third member arrived. This thing is huge.

We also removed the rear light bar for more visibility. 2 flush mount leds and a super bright 4-led amber light was added to keep the back open. We started the painting process at the rear of the buggy and the upper chassis. here are a few pics of the work.

The fuel cell was completely gone through. We addressed the lack of baffles and ordered some from Alltech Motorsports. The fuel lines were re-routed and the cell was powder coated matte black. You can also see the quick release FOA race jack we stuffed under the spare tire.

We have been so busy getting ready I forgot to mention Raceline sent us there new 17" beadlocks for the Bomber. HUGE thanks to Greg for the support for the past 9 years!

We also received our new 4L70E transmission from Maximum offroad transmissions. This is supposed to be the best of the best with a full billet 10.5" no lock-up Converter. Chris builds transmissions for trophy trucks and much more.

Chris Garrison gave us a call and mentioned his car failed a recent Ultra4 tech inspection. Basically we had to move some vent lines and add some gussets to the cage at the A and B pillar. Nothing major.
